Services for Continuing Care Retirement Communities

CCRC's require a unique mix of actuarial services. Long-term profitability of a CCRC can only be maintained by forecasting the revenue and expenses associated with the anticipated mix of residents, by age, gender, and skilled care requirements. Long-range forecasting of the population involves assumptions about mortality and morbidity, as well as a full understanding of the CCRC contract terms and prices. We meet with CCRC leaders and collect data about their residents, contracts, and practices; then proceed to customize our open group forecast model to accommodate their unique situaton. Calculations are done in accordance with Actuarial Standards of Practice No. 3, as published by the American Academy of Actuaries.
